Bring on the Spring

Having a little play at Make it Crafty FB.
It's been so cold here so I needed something bright and happy, warm and springy.
The gorgeous Fairy Dahlia fit that so perfectly.
Ideally, she was to be swinging on her Butterfly Rose Swing
 from a tree branch but...
I haven't figured out how to get my configuration on the Zing's CNP to work yet. (Tips welcome)
Gazebos are cool too.

Colored in copics
I used Gazebo file from MTC.

Blue and yellow - Sun rays and water

Zoe offers two options to her challenges: use blue or yellow
and/or stretch your self and try water and sun light.
You can combine the challenges into one or create for each.

Here's my inspiration

I've added the
Treasure Chest image because who doesn't want one? :)
A little gold embossing powder adds texture and touch of shimmer to the coins

Using Forgotten Scraps Tutorial to create the water
glossey effects to add to the bubbles

I've sprayed cheese cloth yellow, weaving with jute cord,
and lots of sea worthy trinkets

Make it Crafty Scenes

Make it Crafty has releases some gorgeous scences.
Right now, you can get this scene, Rosey Walk for only a dollar.
Just join us at the Facebook group for the code.
Zoe does this every month. Wow!

I've added another new release Tress Joyful to finish up my picture.

I've colored her with Copics. I used so many different colors, I forgot to write them down.
But I did find this tutorial that helped tons with the clouds and sky.
Cut the frame from MIC Gallery, using my Zing
Holtz Vintage Photo pad and Cloud9 simple thoughts, gave it a bit of detail.
I also distressed around and inside to break it up a bit.

 Here's a closer view

Hope you enjoed your stay. Come back soon.

Making it all new again

Good Morning
We are having a re-release of some exclusive images from Whimsy.
Janice has decided to bring them all home to Scrapper's Delights.
I got to play with the sweetest little image Megan

Made especially for my Mom-in-law who just had surgery. Hopefully, she will get a little smile.

I colored her up with my copics.
Used my Zing Cutter to create the little candy border.
Adapted a sentiment frame from spellbinder and kept it pretty simple

Make It Crafty Sketch 5

Welcome 2014
Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and are ready to get back to some craftin'. I know I am.
Some super great news from me.
I've been added to the Make It Crafty Facebook Design Team. So for the next
four months, I get to play with all those amazing images from MIC.
For this months sketch, I wanted something playful and fun as the weather here
has been dreadful.
Little Frenchie Valerie caught my eye and of course, she's nibbling on some ice cream. lol.

Here's the sketch we used this month
I really enjoyed how everyone makes the sketche their own so, I stepped out of my box and did that for my project.
I created a wall hanging and turning the ribbons direction down to make the attachment.
I also used the laced ribbon/pearl combo as my second layer in the sketch.

Valerie is colored in copics - colors to follow
I used the scalloped circle in MTC gallery and punched holes using a small puncher to create
the ability to lace the ribbon.
I carefully choose long pieces of diamond dust to give the sprinkles a candy appearance

and a close up view of the image

I hope you enjoyed my first project. I can't wait to share more.
Zoe's also just released some gorgeous elements and a new character tress.
You can find them at the Make it Crafty store
If your not in the MIC FB group, join us here. We've got some of the most talented girls around.
