I Love my Baby Peeps

Happy Valentines Day.
Love is all around us.
Today, I'd like to celebrate my darling little ones.
They are still tiny peeps now but when the day comes for them to fly the nest,
I hope I can be a brave Mom.

You have all my heart boys. <3

I created this card with new CHA products;
featuring DoveArt Studios and Creative Basics Dies
The image is called Feeding Time
and yes, my guys are hungry ALL the time.
the Dies are Basic Stiched Flags which are amazing.
You can actually place an image directly on the Flag.
They are a great size; Super large to banner size.
And...the Basic Cutting Edge Border
I really had a lot of fun with these;
creating a demsensional backgroun simply by using the border to cut all four sides.

Transparency

It's another incredibly, fun challenge at Make it Crafty.
This month, we are working on transparency
There's lots of examples and different versions for you to be inspired from.

So, make sure you check out all the girls blogs.

I've combined a couple of images; Cheshire Cat and Drink Me Bottle
The fun think that I learned from this challenge is that if an object is behind plain glass,
it's just a little bit distorted but basically clear and unchanged.
However, when an object is behind a liquid, the image appears blown up.

✭ So this is what it might be like living in a fish bowl. Does it make me look fat?:

Who knew?

I actually did my own experiment to make sure this was accurate. LOL

Copics used:
Kitty: V06, 04, 01, BV04, 01, 02,
(colors behind the glass were stippled then blended with 000 of both shades.
The darkest color was not used.)
Ears/Nose: RV14, 11
Bottle: R29, 24, 22
Ribbon/Heart: R59, 29, 24
Cork: YR24, 000, Y38, 35, 32

Friends need love too

Happy February.
This month at SRTC, we are all about the love.
I wanted to think about all those people in our lives who we don't really recognize at this time.
Those people we lean on, cry with, laugh with, tell our deepest secrets and dreams to.
Nope, not the spouse.
Our beautiful friends.
I know I just couldn't survive without mine.
They all have a vital role in my world.
So here's to you, Friends.

I went a little wild with style this time but hey, my friends are a little wild :D

I used a pre-colored image from Simply B Stamps.
It was actually colored by Betty herself.

Then I added a few SRTC pieces.

I started by inking the banner pieces but realized I couldn't see my letter.
So, I added some gesso then inked a bit more.
I also inked the other two pieces; adding some orange tone copic to the branch and
a bit of color on the label font so it would really pop.

The thread on my banner is embroider thread.
Super easy to get through with all 6 threads intact.
