Well I've been working on this one for a while. I wanted to do an easel card but wanted to have a pop-up scene. I had an idea of what I wanted the end result to be but no idea how to accomplish it. Nothing like a challenge...hehe. Then, after I got her done, there was no sunlight to take a good picture to showcase the sparkle in the image. Oh well, I do really like how she turned out

The images are all Whoopsi Daisy. Done with Prismacolor pencils. I used homemade flock from a website (sorry I don't remember which one) for the snow and fur from a pom pom to make the fur on the jacket.  Random trees have pop foam and are covered in coarse glitter.

The sugar berries are from a Christmas pick from Hobby Lobby

Sentment on mirror board, cut with sizzix die and framed with Nestability

This beautiful angel is from Sweet Pea stamp's Rachel Anderson collection, called Snow Fae.
Colored in Copics. The snowflakes are outlined in glitter pens and blinged up with rhinestones and crystals.
Corner flower is made from a Paper Studio punch and glittered on the edges with mother of pearl leaves added.
MS around the page punch on the frame and Cuttlebug embossing folder from the Winter Wonderland Collection

The sentiment is from Paper Studio's Faith Hope and Love collection and embossed with Zing
Snowflake, colored to match is blinged up again with rhinestones and a crystal

If you ever wondered if there could be too much glitter...the answer is no. This little lady is glittered, glitter penned and finally sprayed with glitter mist. Ahh, shine on!!

The stamp seemed to come out so lightly but overall, her soft glow comes through. :-)

A Day to Remember

Several years ago, my husband bought me a camera for Christmas. The kind that has different lenses and filters. Well, I had no idea what to do with this camera but rather than seem unappreciative, I thought I'd give it a go. During this process, I fell in love with old barns and then old buildings. You know, the kind that have lived their lives and are falling apart. I thought of the histories that they had, the families, the memories. It always makes me appreciate those times. The times when things were simple and families didn't move across the world from each other because they couldn't. When we slowed down and saw the beauty around us.
I came across this image called Nell's Cottage from Beccy's place and you guessed it, fell in love. I wanted to do a Christmas card with it to reflect those simple times and to express what Christmas means to me; celebrating the birth of Jesus: born in a barn, full of love, history and memories. I am so happy with the way it turned out. Happy Holidays to all!

Colored with Prismacolors pencils

Framed using Nestabilities dies

Shout outs of love

I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving. I know I did. I have so much to be thankful for. Just one of those things is the amazing artists who allow me to express myself through this new craft.
As I say in my profile, I cannot draw. At all. So, I rely totally on others. Some super great people out there who share there talents with freebies. Thank you all so much!!
There are some great deals out there too.  One such deal I came across is so fantastic, I thought I'd share it with you. Just in case you haven't found it already.
Whoopsi Daisy has a buy one sheet get one free. These designs are so too cute and this allowed me to purchase several sheets.  Oh my!  Each sheet has four designs on it.
Sale only lasts a couple more days so go and fill up.

Another new find was this site, Saturated Canary.  This girl has talent to spare and will be offering a sale on Monday with some new releases.
Even if you don't need anything, go check her out.

Blessings to you all and have a fabulous day.

Let It Snow

When I saw this freebie offered at Scrappers Delights with their current challenge, I knew I had to create something with her.

She is colored with Copic, placed on a texteured mirror board punched with a nestie.

The background is randomly stamped with a snowflake stamp by stampablilties and then covered with two colors of zing. I left the overspray on and rubbed off some areas to give it a less than perfect flake. I loved the effect. Hope you do too.

The  corner snowflake is from a pack. I think it's paperstudio.

The sentiment is Inkadinkadoo and once again, used the zing, mirror board and nesties.

The edges are cut with a corner punch and then I had to go back with a pair of scrapbooking scissors because it seemed off. The center is a paperstudio punch.

autumns harvest

Posted by Picasa

Shelly's images supplied this beautiful digi. Colored with copics and chalked the background.

Most papers are from the Natural matstock collection and I added a copper colored mirror board embossed with woodgrain.
This card, my third (hehe), was super fun as I tried to do some new things. Not that that was hard since I'm still a newbie and I'm still figuring it all out anyway. Regardless, had a blast with this one.

I'm entering this one into DigiDarls's Fall Fun Challenge.

The top flower is paper studio spare parts and sprayed with some glimmer mist, secured with a pearl brad that I colored to match.
The bottom flower is homemade and the leaves are from some pack that I've laying around.
