The Most Precious Birthday of All

It's a beautiful day. The birds are singing, the sun is shining (hopefully in your area)
And babies are being born.
This is a long one, so get cozy...
This month Make it Crafty, has been about birthdays.
If you follow me, you know I've had a few in my home as well.
Then, Zoe introduces Geeky Love New Baby Collection.
Lastly, I find out one of my biggest artist inspirations is having a baby.
Ok, so it doesn't take a hammer to see these stars aligning...
Let me start from the very beginning. A couple months back I won a "Love to Scraps" challenge.  The super cool prize was a mini album mania Cd from Technique Junkie.
I was so excited because I had been wanting to try something completely different. This was perfect
On to April...
The project I picked out to create was called a gift bag album.
I began by coloring all the images from Geeky's Baby collection
Then started creating.....
Cover Page                 Inserts pages slide out from center section

A Place for Baby Prints     The Section pulls apart for easy usage

Center Clasp                                  All of Baby Details

                                      Daddy's Page

Mommy's Page              Pull out Pages with Felt Flower Grips

Haircut Clippings and First Tooth Lost         Velcro Secured pouch

   Photo ops and Formula
Slept All Night and other Memorable Firsts     Pull Out Pages

Night Night Baby....
All the images were colored with Copics.
Papers are from paper studio as are most stickers, rhinestones and other embellishments.
Other products used come from EK Success and others from stash.
Fiskars, spellbinder and paper studio punches were also included

The birthdays continue...

At MiC and at home, the birthday month continues.
My oldest but still little man, turned 7.
He asks, "Are you gonna color me a picture?"
Oh, my sweet boy can make a momma happy.
We are trying to get him interested in playing an instrument. He loves music, so we
got him a drum set...I know...ear plugs...But he's really good already.
Here's my card for him.
Using Rocker Dude
Colored up with Copics
I used my spray gun to give the back a splattered look,
Then using several stamps from Stampabilities Rock Star collection,
I stamped and embossed the sentiment, symbols and notes,
adding a note button that I've clipped the back from to give some dimension..
Rock on coloring addicts and have musical day.

Happy Every Day

A bit over a week ago, I saw this message posted regarding a young lady. I'd just finished up an image and thought, with Chloe, it would find a home...
Here is the post.

"Chloe is a young lady of short stature who had a spinal stroke in December. This unfortunately has meant that she has become almost quadriplegic with just a little movement in her arms and hands. She is a big Ollie Murs and Little Mix fan and loves the Minnions from Despicable Me.She is now so bored it’s unbelievable and to get cards from around the world would be something to lighten up her day-she could possibly then do some Geog work finding out about where all her cards have come from!!"

As an update, she is out of the hospital and still receiving cards. If you'd like to send one, you can contact Kerrie for the updated address

On to her card...
Zoe at Make it Crafty FB does a monthly $1 digi. This month she is offering
sweet little "Lizzie with Gift"
If you'd like to get your Lizzie for a dollar, come join the fun
Here's mine all colored up
I kept her pretty simple colored with copics
adding only some balloons, a bit of ribbon and simple sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.
Hope you all have a Happy Every Day!!!

Happy Birthday

Yes, April is full of birthdays at my home.
My beautiful husband is celebrating a big one...
I will spare him the telling of his age and instead share his card.
Using one of my favorite Make it Crafty images
I tried to keep it semi CAS.
I've distressed inked all papers.
Using only white cardstock and Kraft
Tim Holtz inks
colored in Copics
Sentiment is a rubber stamp but has no maker information.
With a bit of twine, the "timeless" piece is added under.
Happy Birthday Honey!!!

Magical April

April is full of wonderful.
My oldest boy, hubs and me all have birthdays...ok maybe my birthday is less wonderful...
BUT I have some magic for you today.
Using one of the new mythical images from Make it Crafty, I've combined to create a
project to work with the easy and hard challenge.
As always, the two options or combine to go with both
Easy-use purple and turquoise
Hard-color on something other than white card stock.
I've printed off Cortesia the Unicorn on Kraft paper
Pulled out my Prismapencils to color her up
 MS border punches,
Butterfly from MTC gallery.
tag made from once upon a time mat stack.
WOC blooms
sentiment from sweet pea stamps
My camera couldn't capture all the depth in the card so I took a few extras in hopes it would help

Hope you all have a wonderful, magical, mythical month
