By DieZynes New Release and Blog Hop

It's finally here!
The second release from By DIEzyne Dies.

We are celebrating this weekend on Passionate Paper Creations and Friends Facebook Group and C.C. Designs Facebook Group.
We are kicking everything off with a really big blog hop!
We have the C.C. Designs DT here today to share their creativity with the new By DIEzyne Dies.

You can find By DIEzyne Dies by clicking HERE
I'm so excited to get to play with these dies again.
I absolutely LOVE them.
They are so versatile. Each set can be used in so many combinations.
Your imagination can just run wild.
On this card, I've used the Half Brackets.
I just flipped the bracket around, met the end to the previous cut and formed a lovely frame.
Then I've taken my layers, pieced them together to form an elegant design
without all the "real" layers.
Finally, I've used the edge die to finish off the ends.
The image is the Make it Crafty "Roses of Love"
The copic colors I've used are:
 RV25, 23, 21, 00
G99, 94, 03, 000
BV23, 20, W5, 3

What is a blog hop without prizes?!?!
Of course we have prizes.
We are going to play a game.
Here is how you play:
1.  Visit each blog along the way.
2.  Leave a comment.
3.  Become a follower of each persons blog.
4.  Each person will have 1 or more letters posted.  Collect all those letters to unscramble the word.
5.  The last person on the hop is Rhea, the creator of By DIEzyne Dies.  Leave your answer in a comment on her blog.  Make sure you also follow her blog.
To qualify all steps need to be followed.
Two lucky winners will receive 1 By DIEzyne Die Set and 1 stamp from C.C. Designs.

MY LETTER/S ARE - S N N's the blog hop game.

Built for Speed

I've got another canvas for you today.
OMGosh, these things are too much fun.
I created this one for my son's upcoming Birthday.
I've used VEH-533
from Southern Ridge Trading Company

There is so much detail in this. My mind went wild.
So, what I've done is take my versamark pen. (I love this pen and it's so inexpensive.)
Going over the particular areas one section at a time, then using silver glitter,
Red Glitter, Black and a little white Zing embossing powder.
I needed to go over each area twice for a nice coverage. (my powder is Old)
On the silver portions, I went over some several times to create dimension and show division.
I added some flat silver circles at the wheel spoke and two other areas to really set that off.
I also used my microliner to add a thin line in some area.
(This was risky as the next step can cause it to bleed. Thankfully, it worked out).
Finally, I covered it all once again in a versamark pad; covering with UTEE to set it all off and add some amazing shine.
The letters I created from a sizzix die, using the same colors and process.
The background is done by using my copic airbrush.
I've created a stencil using my zing cutter, using various blue tones and
moving the stencil around, I get the flame

Coloring Eggs

 Good Morning all.
It's Dorinda here today to share my lastest card.
This little Sweetie from Roberto's Rascals is called "Coloring Eggs"

This little guy was just a joy to color.
His card was created with the DieZyne die using
green and yellow. I added some fun Easter stickers for embellishments
And he's the perfect little man card.

I wish I might...

These images from Make it Crafty are perfect for your "love" moments.
And they can be used for all year.

Last month our challenge was to use pink and Kraft.
While this is not Kraft, I've still used the same format with a
grey cardstock paper and polychromos pencils

This is Penny in Love

I've also added one of the words from the Doodle Dream Collection
Embossed with white embossing powder, centered on a glitter red tulle.

Easter is Hopping along

I'm gonna admit it.
I rarely do a piece that just blows me away and makes me smile.
You know, that deep down inside, "I can't believe that "I" did this" smile
I didn't begin this project with Lenten Season, Easter or any spirituality in my mind.
But sometimes things happen and you just know it was meant to be.
Ok, I'll hush and show you my project.
using the adorable Bunnies From Southern Ridge Trading Company
I started out wanting to do the "crackle" effect.
So many girls do it and I just love it.
I painted the left bunny with acrylic flesh tone and the right one in a brown color.
Once dried, I painted over the color with Folk Art crackle paint.
Again, waiting until dried, I then painted the left bunny in white and the right in antique white.
I proceeded to use acrylic green and some watercolors to the Cattail leaves.
Well, I loved the crackle so much, that's when my ideas kicked in.
I had to find a little cross to "antique" up.
Off to the store I go.
Draping it in the Lenten purple sash, I wanted it to be a background portion of my piece.
Then, I realized, I had to put this on a canvas.
Yep, you guesses it's on the way to anywhere I go.
Using my copic airbrush, I used a paper towel tutorial to create the sky;
sprayed a bit of green on the ground and a few flicks from my G28.
I'm not done yet...I am gonna show you a trick.
This is a step by step of how I achieved my cattails.
I've used a homemade flock. It's super easy and adds great dimension
Using a solid core dye cardstock like coredinations or bazzil;
take a small piece, fold it up several times to make it thick.

Grab your Cheese slicer. .
Using the grater side, carefully grate up some flock

It's going to look like powder almost.
Since my card stock has a lighter core, it will give multi tones.

Use a nice sticky glue, bunch it on the area and let dry

After dry, you're going to gently take the excess off.
You can continue this process for a thicker version or to hit spots you may have missed

this last step is optional.
I like to add dimension with shadows so using a Dark brown, I lay my brush horizontally on the cattail and just dabbed.
Using a variety of color, I dotted the remaining portion to give it a bit more of a color pop

Spotlight dance

Oh yeah, Lets get center stage and dance!!!
This month's challenge at Make it Crafty is "In the Spotlight"
So put your image on the spot.
Or at least in a spot light
This one made me nervous.
Not sure why. Once I started rolling, she came along fine.

Previews are here!!
Available for purchase the afternoon of March 7
This is "Birdie"
She's such a little darling.
I'm really loving the bright colors right now. I NEED spring!!

I've used the flower dies from "Goldie".
I previewed her yesterday.
You can check her out here.
She's been framed with the oval from "Make a Card #5".
I've also used "By DieZyne Half Circle Dies" and "Stitched Brackets"

perfectly sweet sentiment by AmyR called "Hopped Up" on the left
