Bouquet

Hi everyone, it's been a while.

Forced some time to color play using

this DoveArt Studios image called

Bouquet

I stamped it off with light grey ink so that i could enhance the delicacy of the flowers.

Then, I lay down an under painting with copics. BV00, YG03 and Y00

Finally, I took a few colored pencils to emphasize the line divisions; adding a bit of greyed lavender to the shadows.

Super simple and perfect for any occasion.

It keeps getting better

I know you've heard Rhea Weigand has

released a new line with CC Designs.

And you know, I was all ove creating with them.

There are five sets:

Cloudy Days and Waves Dotted Daisies Double Stitched Circles

I've taken three of the sets and created my card.

I've used

I love Rhea's create a card dies.

The rectangle is always my go to. It just fits everything.

What I love most about this one is that I can go vertical or horizontal with my card.

The little inside bit, is a square. LOVEEEE

Although you can't see it well, I used all sizes of the Cloudy Days and Waves

with my background paper. Then I scattered the placement to create the cloud look.

Now, the coolest thing here is...

Wait for it...

When I cut the glued cloud pieces together an went to cut the shape...

ONE PASS through my machine.

I used a the leaf with Dotted Daisies

I was seriously so impressed with the cloud, I had to test another theory,

I used art foam for my material.

Yep, one pass.

Oh my gollies.

And that leaf...

so delicate and it fell right out of the die.

No punching, poking or struggling.

Love them.

So for my total cuteness to finish of my card, I choose this little honey,

Oh, and did I mention the price of the new dies?

Painted Greyscale

I saw one of our Friends on PPCF color an image in greyscale a few months back.

Needless to say, I fell so in love with this artist.

Silly Shells by the SeaShore

Ok, not really.

But...

PPCF's very own Shell Seaward has an Etsy Shop with the most amazing designs.

She creates them from actual photos she take and them sketches out the image.

So, yeah, we all get to enjoy her photography skills vis our coloring.

Word and tried to recreate her Macro background

I've underpainted with copics and overlayed with prisma.

Merry Christmas

What?

Yes, You know in the coloring world, we have Christmas in July.

So here we are with the newest release from DoveArt Studios

I've chosen to use Angel today

I've colored her up with Prisma pencils on Mi Tientes Pasel Paper

Using the Fancy Rectangles & Layers Die, I've cut my Angel out.

Grace Build A Card Die, was used to cut out using the inner and outer circle

creating a pattern on the paper. Then I reattached it in place.

Placing a pearl string around to hide to seam, added a few snowflake and gems to the outer edge

and I'm all set.

As Always, there's always a few extra goodies a DA release.

Hello

I here today with a very simple but still quite elegant card
from LDRS Creative.

Products I'm using are;

TLC Inspired Crafting Hello - Word Die

Gilded Oval Die Set

Blooming Stamp

Splendid Azure Paper Pack

Soft Blush Paper Pack

I rarely use background stamps but our new

TLC Inspired Crafting Collection just begs to be used.

I started out stamping the Blooming Stamp with Versamark

onto the green from Soft Blush Paper Pack

then clear embossing.

I think this is a favorite way to use these for me.

The image shows through in a striking was but allows for the

main theme to come through so beautifully.

Next I take the blue from Splendid Azure Paper Pack and

cut my shape from the Gilded Oval Die Set.

Taking the soft blush from Soft Blush Paper Pack,

I cut out my Hello - Word Die.

Finally, I use the dark blush from Soft Blush Paper Pack

and re-cut only the flowers to add some pop.

Adhere it all together and I am all done.

Faith

Hello, I've got little LDRS Creative Faith for you today.

Products used are:

TLC Inspired Edge Stamp

TLC Inspired Splendid Azure Washi Stickers

Splendid Azure Paper Pack

I just love these two TLC Inspired Edge Stamps.

To me, they look like they should be the door to a chapel.

So, that's what I've created.

My TLC Inspired Edge Stamps are like the stain glass.

I stamped one on each side of the center opening card;

directly on top of a piece from Splendid Azure Paper Pack

Next, I've taken two different pieces of Slendid Azure Washi Stickers.

I had to add just a bit extra at each top end but they piece together

perfectly so I can't even see the piecing.

Now that's Splendid.

That finishes up my chapel.

Flutterby Flight

Hello all, Dorinda here today to show you how I've used one of our new

Lock Itz Dies

called Flutterby

These dies are so amazing.

Immediately, I wanted to try and do a tilt and make my Flutterby Fly.

Wanna try it with me?

Let's Go....

First we will cut our cardstock at 12 x 5 1/4

Score at 3 1/2 and 7 3/4

I lay my die with the tilt as shown. A portion of the butterfly will touch the edge.

Depending on how you want to tilt as to what and how much touches.

Now the way I did this was a little irregular but it's the end result right?

Now fold the card base on the score lines.

Note one edge will be longer.

That's the front.

Now where the edge is on the inside of your card base when folded,

you will make a little mark.

Flip it around and mark the other end.

You're going to place your die on the cardstock edge as per the package instructions

BUT

you're going to position the end of the die on that marked point.

The die end will not be showing out as far and will look more like this one.

or this one at regular viewing.

Don't be scared. Just washi it down.

I like to flip mine upside down to make sure the edges are aligned.

Then run it through.

Hook your pieces together and off we go.

To finish up my card, I used Splendid Azure Paper pack in light blue for the background.

using the Dark Blue, I cut and trimmed the butterfly, then placed it down.

Then, using Soft Blush Paper Pack, I created my flowers.

Now make a note, the die flowers are not solid.

I cut them dbl and spliced the other side.

Finally, a sentiment from Splendid Azure Quick Words Stickers was placed atop the tag from

Fancy Rectangles & Layers

Creating with Creative Basics

It's Creative Basics Week at PPCF.

I can guarentee there's nothing basic about these dies.

as a matter of fact, it's easy to use them to create beauty all on their own.

Here I've taken the Basic Stitched Flag. Usi two dies; one smaller than the other.

It depends on how large you'd like your bow as to which you use.

Taking dbl sided paper, I cut them all out a series of the smaller version. The larger is only used fo the bottom row. Then we hot glue the ends. I used mini close pins to keep them secure until I was ready to form the ring. Now we do just that. Keeping in mind to keep the spacing equal. In this step, it may be easier to cut the forked pieces off.

Once finished, I took the larger and smaller, gluing the smaller a top the lager and once again, keeping in mind the spacing, created the bottom matt.

Finally I hot glued the two pieces together.

I added a little bling in my center.

This was a super quick project to create a stunning ribbon.

Next I played with some butterflies.

I took a textured cloth, cut it to size and glued it down for my base,

I framed it with Basic Background Builder I cut in half.

Then using Fancy Rectangles and Layers I cut out a designed paper and a sheer paper and glued them together.

And realized I had oopsed. I placed the butterfly paper upside down.

oh dear, well I left it that way and it's not tooooo noticeable.

Then a cut butterflies out using Dotted Wings Set and that printed paper so my butterflies look like butterflies.

Popped on a sentiment and some brads and again have a super quick card.

I gotta say, I am having a blast with the new LDRS Creative products.

Today I've taken one of the images, Ballerina Tutu, From All Dressed Up Set. There are 3 little

sweeties in this set. All with their own sentiment.

I used the gogeous Dotty Doily Die Set for some offset dimension.

Then placed them on the frame and base portion of Allifair build-A-Card Die

I cut out some flowers and hearts from Dotty Doily Die Set.

of course, this begged for the leaves from Grace Build-A-Card

Have a little

TLC Faith that is...

Have I said how much I love the new LDRS Creative Product?

I'm using the new Azure TLC collection... again, LOL.

Oh my, I love it...

I get beautiful, quick creations simply by mixing and matching the ready to use accessories.

I've taken the Azure Cut Outs, Stamped with a seniment from

Full of Faith and Grace .

With papers from the Splendid Azure Paper Pack, I've taken a FaTABulous Die,

cut the die on one end, adjusted to frame my cutout. Then cut the other end.

I simply cut a straight line from one cut end to the other to make and adorable new piece.

Then I did it once more using the larger piece.

Finally, a card was born.

Round & Rawwwww

First off, I must apologize for the pictures.

I created this wheel for my youngest son's teacher's daughter.

(Wow, say that three times.)

My son's teacher is so amazing to him and he's a little rascal.

My time was very scarce and took me forever. Had to have it just right lol
I snapped quick pics at the end to get it to school.

I got this ferris wheel from Make it Crafty quite a while ago.

I've never made it because...I have three little boys and Daddy

would not be thrilled with me making them a girly wheel. :(

oh, I digress....

So little man lovesssss dinosaurs and so does this little girl.

Ohhhh,, yesssss.

I also have this polkadoodles Dino pack I bought and it'd be perfect.

I tried to find a nice mix or girly/dino.

It turned out much darker than I would have liked but the little lady loved it.

That's all that matters. :D

I added little dino buttons with the button part cut off, in the chairs.

The little characters come pre-colored on as digi in the kit.

I chose pre-colored. They are too adorable.

I inserted to a Word Doc, copied, pasted and flipped the image,

fussy cut them out, then hot glued them with a Popsicle stick in between. stuck the stick in the base and secured the bottom.

Azure Hellos

Hey Hey, Dorinda here with today's post.

I've used tons of the newest goodies.

Eleganza Stamp & Dies

Grace Build-a-Card Die Set

Hello Word Die

Splendid Azure Paper Pack

Splendid Azure Washi Stickers

I began by coloring my flowers in the paper pack tones

Copics:

B39, 99, 32

Y28, 26, 32

G29, 16, YG13

Cut out a few flower and leaf pieces using the included dies.

Then I friskited my image and sprayed the back; using B99.

I then used a burlap cloth, soaked gently with colorless blender.

Held on area for 3 secs and created an awesome back.

After, I sprayed Y26 just around the flower area.

I attached all my pieces, attached it to my Slendid Azure Paper.

With the Washi Sticker; I cut it in half on the narrow side to create a thinner strip.

Attached by sentiment, then worked the tape into it's proper place.

It was a super easy, super fun card to make.

I love how it turned out.

Pencil love

I think I mentioned a bit back how I am trying to expand myself; using other mediums.

I've always love the freedom and control of pencils.

I've tried the water color ones and even actual water color pans.

When I attended Jennifer Dove's Boot Camp last November, I received a tin of Aqua blends Essentials.

There are beautiful colors that can be used for skin and who doesn't need that?

(I might add, Boot Camp was AMAZING!! If you can, go.)

So, when I had a chance to play with some pencils from Crafer's Companion, I was all on board.

To add to my Aqua Blends, I tried the florals.

These colors are just splendid.

Now, I might add, since I'm not very knowledgeable,

I kinda wait until I have a nice variation before I play.

I know, they can all be mixed...

Ok, now I have two Aqua Blend tins.

I took A Polkadoodles Stamp, "Tulip" I've been waiting to try and

I sat down to color.

First, I want to say; the colors are rich and vibrant

But when I added water, Oh my, They came to life.

The blend was so nice; without leaving streaks or lines.

Loved them!!!

Ok, Addiction happening.

I wanted more.

I got the tin of Color Blend Essentials, (Yes more skin :D)

and Pansy Darling Bud.

Now, first let me say...I got lazy and printed her on the watercolor piece left from tulip.

Don't do that.

I could not get the tooth down enough

BUT

look at the colors!!!

and like the Aqua Blend, they were a delight to play with.

I added

Majestic Rectangle Label Die Set and used the pieces that popped out to embellish.

I mean, come on, they are gorgeous.

I cut the bunny scene out with the same die and removed the fancy parts; gluing it atop the frame.

Woodland Fae

I've got a little beauty from Faery Ink today.

She's called Destiny Woodlands Fae

I really love monochromatic. So, I thought, hmmmmm. what about the same colors used throughout.

Granted, they are different color groups but wanted to give it a try.

I really like how she turned out but now, I wish I would have added some pencil to really define all

that gorgeous detail.
