Big Catch

It can be difficult to find the right "Man" image.

That is why I just love this.

From DoveArt Studios and Whimsy this is 

Fisherman

I added the great catch using the first and fourth fish from

Large Mouth Bass

I popped a bit of thread in to make his line.

Finally I used the Gingham Background with Tim Holtz distress ink pad; making sure not to cover all the stamp evenly. Then, I let the distress do it's thing.

The bottom piece was ghosted by slightly moving the paper and stamping again with the left over ink on the pad.

Stained Sunflower

I really love stained glass and have always wanted to make my own piece.

I've seriously thought about it for a long, long time.

I also, thankfully and sometimes, am smart enough to know I would have no fingers left if I tried it.

Wow was I excited to see the stained glass pieces from this months collection at Whimsy.

This is Stained Glass Sunflower

I colored it several times (which I never do because I believe art is meant to be what it is meant to be)

But...I wanted it to have that stained glass effect and to do that, I wanted to do water color.

I don't do alot of water color so I worked on it many times before I was happy and there was still paper left :D. 

My medium was Derwent intense pencil.

Light Your Way

To me, a Lighthouse is a Beacon.

Weather that be of Hope or simply to show the way, it's always a positive beacon.

Sometimes, we all need a little Light.

So

This week, I have an image from Whimsy Stamps and DoveArt Studios called

"Hillside Lighthouse"

I love this scene; the grass, water and even the stone in the distance.

It's so soothing to me.

Cute to da Bone

Hello You

I'm "In the Doghouse"

I've cut out a back using the Card Builder Window.

The Sun also comes from that kit.I added a pop foam to it and with the outer

 stitched piece, I cut to create a bottom border.

This guy is super fun.

Puppy Love

I have more sweetness today with this little darlin' and her pup.

This is adoringly called
Nose to nose

I've colored my image in copics, trimming around her feet and ribbon to cut her out using the Basic Stitched Oval Die . Using the next size up, I've cut out a frame using some of the papers from Whimsy Paper Door. Just between us, this paper is some of the most gorgeous I've seen.

Next I've taken a glue pad to the stencil called
Beaded Curtain and poured on some bling.

I cut out a base using the Envelope Edger Die Set.
Oh yeah, did I mention that matches with a piece from the Straight Edged Die Set
that I've added to the outer edge.
Then I placed all my layers down
I totally love the effect using the Envelope Edger Die Set..
