What a great Ornaments background image.

I had loads of fun coloring this one from the DoveArt Studios line from Whimsy Stamps.

I purposely made the needles different color; for depth but also to wake up my brain.

 Sometimes it seems things get so chaotic we need something to really focus on to distract and enjoy.

I knew I had to create a scene with just the trees. So, I've created a country card.

This card was so simple to make. I just cut one of each of the  Evergreen Die Set in different color shades, added some edge inking and sorted them on my hills made from Stitched Border Die Trio. Then, stamping out my sentiment with You're My Jolly Stamp Set. which has so many options of sentiments. LOVE!!

Roses are Red. Even in the Winter

Ok, I was floored when I saw these in the up and coming new releases. 

Then when they showed up in my DT box...HEAVEN

 I personally do not think I do florals well at all but I do love to color a rose

These are so incredible and with the different groupings, there are a multitude of ways set to how you want to set it up design.

I used a reference photo as I do a lot and tried to capture all the detail of Winter Roses Background . Even adding some pencil strokes for the veining a texture on the petals.

I cut it out using one of the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Die Set

Using You're My Jolly Clear Stamp Set, I popped a birthday sentiment.

I think I coulda gone deeper in the shadows but overall, I really like the turnout.

Holly Jolly my Butt
I used the stamp set with the new
Peek a boo Window 2
Both from the October Whimsy Stamps release



I started out by cutting my Peek a boo Window 2 with foil paper.
then I began to play with my Holly Jolly my Butt. I stamped off both gift stamps. I made sure to do an extra for the mask. Next, I Fussy cut them out and created the gift scene.
I knew I wanted Santa in that lower section so he'd definitely have to be fussy cut as well. He cracks me up every time I look at him.
Ok, for the fun part. I original wanted to use the branch pieces as Angel wings and have the puppy hanging off butttttttt, I then thought better. So, I created a Christmas tree. I just stamped, colored, cut and arranged it until I liked it. I used the center piece of Peek a boo Window 2  to create a little tree stand.
Well, no wings to bite but I did add another puppy off the corner. It was a chore getting him off Santa's booty.

Notched Squares Die Set

As always, Jenn's images are lovely to color up.  Christmas Horns was no exception. She does the shading so perfectly for you. Awesome!!!
I cut the image out with one of the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles
I knew the Brushed Stripes Background was the perfect backing to compliment the colors used on the image. Silly me, I tossed my colored inks because they dried hard as a rock. What to do???
I grabbed a couple of bottle of glitter acrylic paint and painted the lines using my Tim Holz stamping platform. I think the unevenness gave it a nice realistic look.
This was cut out using the Notched Squares Die Set.
Added some ribbon, pine cones, rhinestones and I'm done.

Penguin Spook Nite with

Everyday Scripted Sentiments

I colored my Penguin Spook Nite up with Copics. I added the sentiment from the set and choose to grab "greetings' from Everyday Scripted Sentiments. I did a scan of the bats so that I could reverse them. Finally, using Pan Pastels, did the background.

A simple CAS of layering completed my card.

I colored this image before and set it aside. Jenn asked me if I would use it for release week because she like it so much...swoon...Ok, when the artist asks you to do something, you do it. lol.

The image was colored up with the no lines technique using memento grey and then created with prisma pencils. I love the control and fine lines I can get. . One of my great draws to Jenn's images are the realism so yes, I did every one of the needles individually on the the tree

I added some glitter with spica too pens on the light strings.
