I had to color this image because I had to do the lake. Frozen water AND snow always challenge me, so challenge me I did. I so glad because I love the way it turned out.

I Inked up my choice from Celebrate Adapt-a-Word Chipboard to create my sentiment.

I don't think the Season could be complete without this image called Candle Light

It's just the perfect setting.

CAS and still so elegant. I colored this one with my copics, cut it out with Notched Square Dies and framed it with the next larger piece. 

A simple gold ribbon and sentiment just printed off.

Christmas Flake

We've all caught snowflakes on our tongues right?

Stitched Border Die Trio

The first thing I did on this one was set my hill.

 I used  the arched piece from Stitched Border Die Trio and some white felt. I then took some gesso and smashed it in areas to create texture. Sprinkled a little glitter cause snow sparkles...just sayin'.

Now for the images. I positioned them so they sat on my snow hill and using my Tim Holz stamper, I inked them down. next, I fussy cut the bottom portions and tucked the felt under so they actually sat on the hill. Creating a mask with copic mask it, I sprayed my sky. Then I colored my pieces from Favorite Flake up with copics. 

Finally, with White ink, I stamped the flakes. After it dried, I restamped them with Memento Grey. It's harder to see the effect in photo but it looks pretty cool.

Lastly, if you haven't caught snowflakes on your tongue, you got some work to do this season.

Seriously, do it!!

A Cozy Rose Hug

You know when you buy a new crafting item and you are so excited to use it and then can't figure it out...

But first let me tell you about this gorgeous new stamp

I have been drooling lately over these new images embossed with the Gold Embossing Power

But I pride myself on making things my own

Well about this Cozy Blanket Background image...

 When I got this stamp I knew what needed to happen, Boom!!! I embossed it onto white cardstock. Then, I took my pan pastels red and green and blended over until I got a look I liked and cut it out with the Notched Square Dies

Now onto the first sentence of my post. MONTHS ago, I got some Foamiran and some Flower Dies and I tried. I tried some more and kept trying. Watched Videos and tried some more. 

I discovered I'm not very good at this. 

I also remembered I wasn't good at most things the first, second, sixth etc time.

Well, by jollies, this stamp called for some gorgeous red roses and with the 08mm Dark Red Silk Foamiran and Rose Petal Die it was going to have them.

I'm not unhappy with them but you know....

I added some sugar berries, pinecones, little rosebuds and baby's breath, a little glitter poinsettia button that I've clipped the back from and a tiny bell to finish.

Using the smallest Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle Die Set, I cut from red vellum. I thing it looks like silk. Perfect for my silk roses. I popped on my  Gold Embossed sentiments from Beaucoup Bouquet Sentiments

And to my delight, this is one of my favorite cards that I've done.

Copic Christmas

Ok, it's a Christmas Tree colored in Copics.

I did this image from the DoveArt Studio line at Whimsy Stamps a couple weeks ago

But, it was in pencil and I had done it a while back. If you remember, Jenn had asked 

me to showcase it.

Well, I had already redone it in Copics

So, today, I bring you Copic Christmas Tree.

Pine Bough Christmas

The Holiday Season is everywhere you look these days and time to finish up those cards.

Welcome to day 5 of the Whimsy Stamps release for the month of November.

I've used this gorgeous image from the DoveArt Studios line called Pine Bough 

This image is not only gorgeous but perfect for any time of the year and a "manly" image...

it's a win.

After coloring Pine Bough  up with my copics, I used the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles  to create a frame. The seconds nesting is double foam taped to create a deeper frame around the image which is flat to the card base. The Green layer is single foam taped to add a different demension.

I finished it off with a sentiment from Everyday Scripted Sentiments, applied to the smallest of the Basic Stitched Oval Die Set which was edged with red pan pastel.
