Snowman Christmas

Only a few days left till Christmas and this will sadly be my last Christmas card of the year.
I've used a stamp from the Sylvia Zet line called

I've always been a big fan of Sylvia Zet and took this opportunity to play with one of her Christmas images.
I colored up Candle Light Rubber Cling and distressed the edges; adding a backing with distressed edges as well
I cut out a couple of the pines from Evergreen Trees Die Set and frosted them with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Simply White.
Then I added the gate from Kinetic Curved Hills Die Set to finish off my back scene.
I added some pine cones frosted with the Nuvo Crystal and a couple of embellishments.
This one was a real joy.

Merry Christmas to you and many blessings for the New Year!

Purrfect Family

I love kitties and have always had one until I met my hubby.
He was not a cat person...

This set Love has Four Paws Clear Stamp Set, is really amazing and I new exactly what I wanted to create with it.
I stamped the kitty profile  and lightly colored it in.
Then using Basic Stitched Ovals Die Set and a deeper cream cardstock, I made a raised frame.
Added my sentiment and a few paw prints and CAS is purrfectly adorable.

I fell in love with this set when it came out and had to have it.
During December at Whimsy Stamps, we don't have releases so we can play with other product.
I'd just ordered some Nuvo Mousse and thought I'd create some waves.

I stamped my little guy from Ahoy Matey! Clear Stamp Set and masked him. Using the torn kitchen towel technique, I sprayed some textured clouds.
I used a putty knife to smear the bottom with a solid layer of
Then layed my Making Waves Stencil down. I sprayed snd re positioned several times to create a look I was going for.
It was pretty cool, with the Novo Embellishment Mousse in Mother of Pearl, it gave the texture and added that look of movement with my stenciled waves.
Lastly, I colored up my pelican.
Yep, did him last cause I had to do the waves a few times lol.

Just Float

We are expecting snow on Friday so I want to protest with some fun in the sun action.
That's right. Action!!
In case you've been under a rock and missed the seriously cool release of No See Kinetic dies from Whimsy Stamps and DoveArt Studios, here's a peek.

Products I've used are:

I colored up the little kitty from Ahoy Matey! Clear Stamp Set and fussy cut him out.
Then I sprayed a simple square of cardstock with spots of blues to create a subtle sky color.
Using Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set, I created some cloud designs and with a torn kitchen towel and air gun, I textured my clouds.
Next, taking a smaller section of cardstock, I measure approximately where I needed my water to go.
I edged the top with the wave in the No See- Kinetic Curved Basic Die Set.
(Now let me pause to explain what No See means.
You've seen cards that have a "movement" section cut out with dies. Well this has a cover, so to speak, that hides that cut out. So my kitty actually looks like he's floating the river.)
Back to the description: I cut out a second wave and used it as a stencil to create more waves with my air gun.
I popped my sentiment in and added some water drops from the Ahoy Matey! set but then, I thought about my Nuvo Crystal Drops.
I put a drop of Neptune Turquoise  on the stamped drop and carefully pulled the drop down to cover and create a textured water drop. The Nuvo Crystal Drops reformed and dried to perfection. Granted, my drops weren't amazing but that was my fault. Ha! Practice :D
Now to the fun part. I cut out my slide with Kinetic Curved Basic Die Set, added the slider part and a attached it to my kitty. I placed the wave in front of the cut out slide.
Now my kitty folds over the wave and Just Floats.
At last thought, I added a little anchor and some rope to keep kitty from floating away!
A little shell on the pull tab finished it all off.
Check it out below
