Springing up bunnies

Happy Spring!

It's been just over a week and it's still cold.
So, I'm going to use this sweet little image to make me all happy.

This adorable little scene was built around

I feel in love with Bunny Mom and wanted to create a little place for her and the baby.

They been cut our with Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set and then place back into the reverse cut in a background paper.

Then; layering up the pieces from: Kinetic Curved Hills Die Set, Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set and Bold ABC Die Set. 

We have to add some clouds and a happy sun so we've finished off with Up in the clouds Die Set.

today's post is a personal, emotional and very important post.

It's touched my life

It may have touched yours.

Honestly, I can't think of anyone I know who it hasn't touched and every time I work on this post, I tear up.

It's that powerful and that devastating.

U R So Special

I love inspiration. We all need some every now and then.
Right about the time I was preparing to make a project with the new Special Large Word Die, I got an email with a gorgeous card. The word "love"; the four letters, recessed in the four corners. Then the word "You" in tiny font and placed slightly on top of the letter E in the bottom right corner.
I tried to replicate ish that technique today.
In hindsight, I think I should have condensed to less letters so the "special" would be more emphasized.

Eh, C'est la vie.
I still think it's pretty. :D

As I said above, the U R So Very from the Bold ABC Die Set was to be recessed but I didn't like it so much so I double stacked the letters. Like it much better. With the cutouts in the cream paper and the rounded edges of the actual letters, it just makes a statement.
After cutting the letters out on the cream paper, I embossed with the Wire Fence Embossing Folder, attached that to the burgundy back, placed my letters in their places, cut my word from the Special Large Word Die and popped it on top.
Now, of course, there was a little more to this.
I lay the UR SO across the a clear quilting ruler and taped the letters across so they would not move. I placed my dies on the paper to determine where I wanted them and ran it through. I did the same with the VERY. Measured and remeasured.
Once that was complete, I made sure my edges were all even to the letters (measured again) and placed the Wire Fence Embossing Folder evenly around my cream paper and ran that.
And that's it.

What's Up?

Good Morning Chicken Butt.

I'm here today with some serious funny.

Today's project is created using 

You Crack Me Up Rubber Cling

Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set

6x6 Paper Pack - Tiger

My image from the You Crack Me Up Rubber Cling set was colored up with Copic Markers.  I then cut the image out with the New Pierced and Stitched Circle Die Set. The frame for the image was created with one of the solid sides of New 6x6 Paper Pack - Tiger.  The flip side was the printed stripe design. 

To create the flip card shown below: take any circle die and place it halfway Off the cutting plate. Run it through and only half will cut. Score horizontally at the the circles end to allow for a smooth fold. Tip: make sure you score on both sides at the same time to get your score on the same fold.

Do Not score the half circle that is your flip. 

The inside strip used for the stop is also from the New 6x6 Paper Pack - Tiger

Bunnies and Baskets

Cuteness Alert!!

Creating scenes is tons of fun. Especially when you get to play with loads of little pieces.

Reminds me of paper dolls. 

Today's post is done using

Quick Strip Die Set

Gosh, how does one decide what color to make an Easter Basket?  Limitless options. I stayed traditional lol; pink and blue

To start my project using the New Build a Basket Die Set, I cut out my baskets and handles. Then cut out my bows and covered them in glue and glitter.

While that dried, I set about cutting out my Easter eggs and a few carrots.

I sorted all my eggs..not in one basket hehe.

glued those in place, added a sprig of grass in one basket and attached my bows.

I then cut my grasses from Grass and Cloud Edger Die Set, adjusted them on my base, added my baskets and moved on the the rest.

I cut several colors of flowers out, dotted the centers with Nuvo Crystal Drops - Simply White and another color I forgot :(

And to the bunnies...they were cut out with fuzzy felt. I colored some pearls for the eyes and nose on one and used a copic on the other. Hopped, um Popped them on the grass and moved on to the sentiment.

For it, I simply cut out two strips with the Quick Strip Die Set and adjusted the length.

And we are done. This was a super fun play. I hope you enjoyed viewing it as much as I did creating it.

Peace Be With You

It's the first of the month and new release time at 

Whimsy Stamps

There's gorgeous scenes, really cool backgrounds, Dies and as always super sweet stamp sets.

I've used Gazebo from the DoveArt Studios line.

I'm always drawn to Gazebos anywhere I see one. 

They just have a peacefulness about them.

I've stamps my image, Gazebo with Momento London Fog to create a no lines look.

Then I colored it up with my Copics.

I stamped out Messy Mesh Background with VersaMark Watermark Stamp and embossed it with a clear.

Then I took Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Forest Moss and Crushed Olive alternating darker on the outer light towards the center until I achieved a look I was happy with.

The image and background where cut out with Notched Square Die Set and adhered to my base.

With the Quick Strip Dies, I've stamped from the Your'e My Always Clear Stamp Set to create my sentiment.

And that's it.
